That brief moment at the end of the day, when the clouds catch the last warm light and the landscape below grows quiet. Prairie Sunset was inspired by the wide skies and open grasslands of the High Plains, where so much of the drama happens overhead.
Soft blues, warm golds, and deep grays move through the sky above a distant horizon, with just a few touches of yellow scattered through the grasses below. This fine art print is reproduced from my original pastel painting, preserving the layered color, texture, and expressive marks of the original work.
